Today was jam packed with events and concerts for Tanglewood On Parade with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops, Tanglewood Music Center Ensembles, and BUTI Ensembles all participating!!!

2:00pm - Instrument Playground (Volunteers, until 4:00pm)
2:30pm - TMC Chamber Music (Ozawa Hall)
2:30pm - TMC All-Percussion Concert (Theater)
2:30pm - BUTI Chamber Music (Chamber Music Hall)
3:00pm - Free tours of Tanglewood (until 7:30pm)
4:00pm - BUTI Orchestra Orchestra & Chorus (Shed)
5:00pm - TMC Vocal Concert (Ozawa Hall)
8:00pm - Fanfares from Shed Stage (TMC Fellows)
8:30pm - Gala Concert (Shed), Program: Wagner - Prelude to Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg, Vaughan Williams - Serenade to Music, for 16 solo voices and orchestra (performed in celebration of Phyllis Curtin's 90th birthday year), Tchaikovsky - Romeo and Juliet, Fantasy Overture after Shakespeare, Williams - Sound the Bells, Williams - Suite from E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, Tchaikovsky - 1812 Overture

Tonight students from the Stockbridge dormitory went on a trip to the Berkshire Mall.

Tonight there was a Festival of Contemporary Music concert at Ozawa Hall. The festival runs from August 3 - August 7
August 5
Large Programs Day 33
Tonight there was a Boston Symphony Orchestra concert at the Tanglewood Shed with guest pianist Yuja Wang. Program: Beethoven - Symphony No. 8, Rachmaninoff - "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini," for piano and orchestra Op. 43, Strauss - Suite from "Der Rosenkavalier"
August 6
Large Programs Day 34
This morning there was a Young Artists Piano Program at the West Street Theater
Today there was a Young Artists Chorus performance at Ozawa Hall led by Dr. Ann Howard Jones.
Tonight there was a Boston Symphony Orchestra concert at the Tanglewood Shed with guest violinist Sarah Chang. Program: Jalbert - "Music of air and fire," Mendelssohn - Violin Concerto in E minor, Rachmaninoff - Symphony No. 2
August 7
Large Programs Day 35
This morning there was a Harp Seminar Recital at the West Street Theater
Today there was Boston Symphony Orchestra concert at the Tanglewood Shed with guest pianist Emanuel Ax. Program: Smetana - "The Moldau," Mozart - Piano Concerto No. 22 K. 482, Tchaikovsky - Symphony No. 5
Today there was a Young Artists Vocal Program recital at the West Street Theater
Tonight there was a Young Artists Composition Program performance at the West Street Theater
Tomorrow starts the final week of music and fun at BUTI!!!
