Tonight there was a great TMC concert. Program: Beethoven - Leonore Overture No. 3, Debussy - "Nuages" and "Fetes" from Nocturnes, Tchaikovsky - Symphony No. 4

Tonight the faculty for the Young Artists Orchestra held a recital at the Trinity Church in Lenox, MA

Tonight there was a Percussion Recital at the West Street Theater.

Today the Walnut Hill School of the Arts held on-site auditions at the Little Red Schoolhouse
Tonight Dana Schnitzer (soprano), accompanied by Michelle Beaton, held a vocal recital at the Trinity Church in Lenox, MA

Large Programs Day 26
Tonight there was a Young Artists Wind Ensemble at Ozawa Hall led by H. Robert Reynolds. Program: W. Schuman - Chester Overture, Mackey - Hymn to a Blue Hour, Bernstein - Symphonic Dances from "West Side Story", Rudin - Der Traum des Oenghus (part 2), Bennett - Concerto Grosso (feat. Vento Chiaro Wind Quintet), Gould - Marches from Symphony No. 4 "West Point"
Tonight there was also a Boston Symphony Orchesra concert at the Tanglewood Shed with guest pianist Orion Weiss. Program: Mozart - Piano Concerto No. 25 in C, K. 503, Mahler - Symphony No. 5!
After the concert, there was a Jersey Shore Dance Party in the cafeteria with free food, music, and a video full of BUTI summer memories.
July 30
Large Programs Day 27
Today the Young Artists Wind Ensemble students moved out of the dorm :(
During the morning, there was a Young Artists Piano Program at the West street Theater
During the day, there was a Young Artists Orchestra at Ozawa Hall. Program: Franck - Symphony in D minor, Rachmaninoff - Symphonic Dances, op. 45
Tonight the Boston Symphony Orchestra performed another concert at the Tanglewood Shed with guest pianist Peter Serkin. All-Brahms Program: Piano Concerto No. 1 in D minor, Op. 15, Symphony No. 4
July 31
Large Programs Day 28
This morning there was a chamber music TMC concert at the Tanglewood Shed.
Later there was a lake trip to the BSO beach led by Jon Anderson (Lenox 1 SRA).
Today there was a Boston Symphony Orchestra concert at the Tanglewood Shed with guest cellist Alisa Weilerstein. Program: Haydn - Cello Concerto No. 1 in C, Mahler - Symphony No. 1
This evening there was a "Yoga for musicians" class and a "Yoga for violists" class at the West Street Theater
Tomorrow starts another exciting week of music and fun at BUTI! And it's already August! Only 2 weeks of BUTI remain!
