This Sunday morning I finally moved-In with the help of another RA and his car. We got all my items in the room and I decided to unpack later. After that I went into Lenox to find a church service to attend. While I was biking into town I noticed another one of the staff members, Susan Yang, walking into town.
When I discovered that she was heading to church as well, I tagged along. We went to The United Church of Christ in Lenox also known as "The Church on the Hill"and enjoyed the service. I forgot that today was the beginning of the fifty day event of Pentecost. It was the first time I've heard Mozart chamber music played in church, alternating between the traditional hymns. There was a guest string quartet playing along with the organ. Susan and I made it back to campus just before brunch ended. This was great news because I was starving. After eating, I decided to unpack and arrange my room. Next I figured it was a good time to iron all of my wrinkled shirts and pants. Make the parents proud I guess. This took a lot longer than I anticipated and by the time I was done, it was time for dinner. After dinner my group decided to start our scavenger hunt and we had a blast!
We went to:
The Tanglewood Main Grounds
The Kripalu center for yoga training
A beautiful bed and breakfast with ducks everywhere
Around the town of Lenox
The Loeb's convenience store
Frankie's Italian restaurant for drinks and desserts
Trinity Church where all of the Tanglewood recitals will take place
The Shakespeare company theatre
and the Jacob's Pillow dance company where we met some of the dancers.
After we returned home rather late, I had another great flute practice session.
Tomorrow we start CPR training!
Until tomorrow, good night & good music!
