Workshops Day 1

I made it to the office at 7am this morning for my Rooster shift. I found out there had been a black bear sighting earlier around 6am. He must have wanted the left-overs in the trash from the BBQ! After I got off, I ate breakfast and helped some students around campus. Many of them are still learning about the campus layout and schedule. Next I walked to the coffee shop and enjoyed the internet for awhile. After lunch, a group of us went to the fitness center for a "spinning" class. It was tough but also a lot of fun. Unfortunately, we missed Terry Everson's trumpet recital, but fortunately I have heard his amazing playing before on many occasions. After dinner, we changed into nice clothes for the faculty & staff reception that took place on campus after the recital. That night, Jon and I made sure the students were in their rooms for curfew. When we realized most of our floor students were tired from the first day of music activities, we decided to hold off on charades and games until tomorrow night.

Tomorrow evening is Linda's Toote's flute recital (my instructor!)

Until then, good night & good music!
